Delete Account Policy

Effective Date: May 7, 2025

1. Purpose This Delete Account Policy explains how users can permanently delete their Conexio account and the timeline for data removal.

2. Scope This policy applies to all registered users of the Conexio mobile application.

3. Methods for Account Deletion

  • Self-Service Deletion
  1. Open the Conexio App and log in to your account.
  1. Tap your profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
  1. Go to Settings.
  1. Select Delete Account and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm.
  1. Your deletion request will be processed immediately, and your data will be scheduled for removal.
  • Assisted Deletion
  1. Compose an email from the address registered with your Conexio account.
  1. Address it to info@conexio.app with the subject line: Account Deletion Request.
  1. In the email body, include your full name and the email address associated with your account.
  1. Our support team will verify your request and initiate deletion within 5 business days.

4. Data Removal Timeline

  • Upon receiving a deletion request, core account data (interests, images, milestones, education, connections) will be permanently removed within 30 days.
  • Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days solely for disaster recovery, legal compliance, and auditing purposes. After this period, backups are purged.

5. Effect of Deletion

  • You will lose access to all Conexio features and any data associated with your account.
  • Any public references to your profile (e.g., in another user’s connections list) will be removed.
  • Messages you sent to other users will remain in their inboxes but will be anonymized (your name replaced with "Deleted User").

6. Indefinite Data Retention

  • User Statistics & App Usage: Aggregated, anonymized statistics about how users interact with the App (e.g., feature usage metrics, session durations) will be retained indefinitely to inform product improvements and analytics.
  • Device & Technical Data: Device identifiers, operating system versions, crash logs, and performance metrics may be stored and used indefinitely to enhance security, troubleshoot issues, and optimize App performance.
